Reintegration Services (Adult)
Re-integration Services for adults guides choices and offers support in rebuilding relationships following custody for offenders. A collaborative plan, involving both the offender and staff, is executed to ensure successful reintegration.
The Re-integration Social Workers work as mentors, coaches, facilitators, role models and advocates for clients in order to develop daily problem solving strategies, self-reliance, responsibility and accountability.
The Reintegration Worker Will:
- Promotes accountability and compliance with court orders
- Supports offender's reintegration to their community
- Enables the development of a pro-social lifestyle
- Builds on existing services that encourages a partnership approach to working with youth and families
- Promotes engagement with probation supervision by supporting the role of the Probation Officer
- Promotes community safety
- Promotes restoration of the victim and the community by the acknowledgement and repair of the harm caused by the crime
- Improves response to educational and vocational programs, creating a greater success within the community
Referrals
Referrals can be made to the Adult Reintegration Program through the client's Case Manager (Probation Officer), Justice professional, human service professional, family member or individual. Assessment and selection will be determined by risk and need.
