Parents and Families
St. Leonard's Community Services London Region provides parents and families information that helps kids make better decisions throughout their lives.
Check back soon for checklists that will help parents and families better understand and recognize high-risk youth behaviour.
The Time To Think program offers high-risk youth opportunities to:
- Stop and think before acting
- Consider consequences of their behavior
- Conceptualize alternative ways of responding to interpersonal problems
- Consider the impact of their behavior on other people
The Choices program provides eight sessions focusing on thinking skills training as an early intervention tool designed to teach youth reasoning and decision making skills.
Youth are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions and the positive or negative consequences they create.
The Get a Grip program encourages participants to be active in changing attitudes and behaviours surrounding their issues of anger management.
