Overnight Rover - 18 Month Contract

SLCS is currently seeking a Full Time Overnight Rover on an 18-month contract.  This role is supporting and travelling between our Community Residential Facilities as well as the community programs within SLCS.  In this role, you will build relationships with clients, provide support and participate in client assessments, managing and supporting crisis intervention, assessing clients’ skills and needs, and assisting in discharge planning and support services.

This role also includes advocating for our clients as well as liaising with other community services and professionals to provide best practice support for clients (i.e. clinical supports, parole and probation officers, National Monitoring Centre, etc.)  Within this role, you will also work with colleagues to ensure the safety and security of SLCS properties and provide break support for overnight staff working within the Residential Facilities.  SLCS has facilities throughout London and region, where the incumbent would be expected to travel locally as required via an agency provided vehicle.

This position would be starting at either 9pm or 10pm and working until 9am on a set 4 week rotation, including some weekends and public holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or 2 – 3-year College Diploma from an accredited institution
  • Standard First Aid/CPR with AED – Level C
  • Valid G2 or G Class Driver’s License
  • Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset
